Small Business Saturday: Tips from the (post)masters themselves

Small Business Saturday: Tips from the (post)masters themselves

The Post Office network is the UK’s largest small business network, and many of the postmasters running our branches will be taking part in Small Business Saturday, on Saturday 2 December.

Small Business Saturday is the campaign that champions small businesses and encourages people to shop local.

Our Postmasters are getting involved by sharing their tips with other entrepreneurs across the country on how to successfully run a small business. Alongside the tips being shared via social media, branches are celebrating Small Business Saturday by organising themed events. Leadenham branch is promoting a ‘Stollen & Stamps’ event where customers can enjoy a mulled punch and Christmas stollen cake while they write, post and stamp their Christmas cards. They are also taking advantage of the additional footfall expected on Small Business Saturday by launching a new Christmas Menu which includes gingerbread lattes, chai teas and Christmas cakes and bakes.

Here's a glimpse of the tips from postmasters. You'll see these be shared through the Post Office social media accounts this week.

Participation in these types of activities is a great way of demonstrating the important role we play in supporting small businesses in local communities across the UK. Email us at emma.brown@postoffice.co.uk and tell us what you are planning for 'Small Business Saturday' so we can provide support in promoting this year's campaign.
